Many religious folks are faced with a dubious question. “Are we allowed to play video games?” Well like many questions in life, this one has a complex answer. Technically speaking, there are no Bible verses condemning the use of video games but then again, Jesus wasn’t around for the release of GTA 3. Nowadays, its’ God of War Valkyrie that’s having many Christians questioning their very belief and here’s why.
GOD OF WAR VALKYRIE MAKES CHRISTIANS LAZY
If you want to go with the argument that there are no bible verses saying video games are evil, then you’re in for a long fight. Sure, that statement is correct but if there is anything the Bible hates, it’s violence and laziness. Violence and laziness are key aspects of the majority of video games. Take God of War Valkyrie for example. It’s brutal, gruesome and gory. Not to mention addicting. Hence, gamers will set aside their days of charity in favor of this video game without even a second thought. But Christians have even more reasons to hate this game then violence and laziness.
GOD OF WAR VALKYRIE MAKES CHRISITANS LOOKS BAD
Just look at the title “God of War Valkyrie.” The name alone brings up images of an evil, war hungry God. That’s certainly not the image Christians want of their beloved father. So what are they to do? Hire the best PR team and hope for the best? That’s one option but perhaps to fight technology, Christians should learn to embrace it.
HERE’S HOW CHRISTIANS DEFEAT GOD OF WAR VALKYRIE
We live in a technology-laden culture. There is no way around that. Hence, if religious zealots want to keep up with the cultural change and make a positive influence, they too must embrace technology. Whether it’s building their own revolutionary crypto exchange like Kelvin or funding their own ideas with an IOTA based cryptocurrency. The point is, there are plenty of avenues for religious groups to explore in the field of technology. They can use it to their advantage to fight the onslaught of non-believers out there. But will they actually do it?
